Equipe 44 reaches Zyte Division

Written by Equipe 44 at 23:25 11/8-2010

Equipe 44 secured promotion to the Zyte Division, which marks an important step in the project led by Toni. In the words of the team manager, "This victory is due to the heavy investment made in human resources and the financial management, which was planned in detail." The directeur sportif of the Monegasque team also points as a decisive factor "the cohesive team and their strong leaders."
In fact, much of this promotion is due to Salim Wajeeh, the Syrian cyclist who only this season already has three victories and one second place and is wanted by several top teams. "Yes, I have received some proposals but it’s unlikely that Salim will be out of the team, at least for now. He is happy here and wants to help the team reach the top division." said Toni. With AV 54 and still with some room for improvement, Salim is revealing himself to the world and would certainly be given as a favorite at the Taith Cymru, but unfortunately his team did not achieve promotion to the Zyte Division in time to be able to register. "It is really a shame. But certainly next year he'll be there and will give his best."
Tao Yang, his right arm and co-team leader told us how pleased he is with the team progress. "When I got here coming from a top team it felt a little strange but now it’s different, we are improving quickly and being part of this is gratifying." said ex-Team Zyte rider.
Talking about future successes, Toni was clear. "For now the objective is to solidify our presence in the Zyte Division. Day 40 we’ll participate in the Bergen-Bergen and we also have in mind taking part in the Nouro GP or the Bochum Fahrt.”
The team also took the occasion to renew its racing jersey. With a white and blue base, it now reflects the team logo and the two new major sponsors, the insurance company Sycho and the kTB bank.

Actually I just got relegated to Division 3. I'm either at the bottom of the Zyte or at the top of the 3rd. Hopefully the Bergen-Bergen will stop this yo-yo effect. ;)

Congratulations, luckily you were to late to register. Otherwise it would definatly cost me a place in the GC at Cymru ;-)
